Updating a student’s data
How to ensure your child’s personal and health information are up to date [Parents only]
Parents can easily update their child’s personal and medical data directly inside the app.
Tap your child’s picture (or avatar) in the bottom navigation bar.
Scroll to the bottom of your child’s personal profile and tap the “Update student profile” button.
For child identity security reasons, Cosine doesn’t allow you to change your child’s biodata (names, gender and birthdate).
Contact our compliance team to update your child’s biodata. We may request necessary documents to effect the changes.
Updating a student’s medical information#
Unlike biodata, you can freely update your child’s health information at any time.
At the bottom of the student’s data update form, you will find the button to update your child’s medical data.
In the medical data form, provide your child’s blood type (or blood group).
You can also specify if they have any allergies. Add one allergy per field.
Additionally, you can specify any medical conditions that your child may have and the medications that your child takes (if any).
Finally, tap the “Submit” button to save the changes.
Why share your child’s health data?#
In recent studies, over 80% of schools report health emergency accidents in the classrooms, playgrounds, gardens, laboratories, etc.
Another study shows that early-stage schools have limited information and resources to properly handle these health emergencies.
By sharing these important health data with your child’s school, you’re providing vital information to help them respond appropriately should your child be caught in a medical emergency.
